A number of national celebrities now venture into the food industry. And they don’t mean franchise. Most of them focused on building their own brand from scratch. JC De Vera has The Burgery, Richard Yap has Wang Fu, Anthony Taberna has Ka Tunying’s Cafe and Gonzaga Sisters on Happy Cup to name a few. And adding to the list of the country’s celebrity restaurateurs is the TV host and actress, Ms. Camille Prats for Tito’s Fil Mex Restaurant.

About Tito’s Fil Mex
Camille Prats and husband VJ Yambao have opened their new restaurant, Tito’s Fil Mex Restaurant. VJ and Camille share the same fondness on food as a couple. In fact, they already co-owned a Japanese Restaurant, Asakusa.
Camille shared that Tito’s Fil Mex restaurant is very close to her heart as they have to start it from the ground up. The couple secured every detail of the business especially the taste of the food. They only want the best Fil-Mex food for Filipino of all ages yet very affordable for the best bonding of families and barkada . As for the tastes of the food, they collaborated with the other two co-owners who are also the chefs of the restaurant. The original name of the restaurant is supposedly Tres Tito’s referring to VJ and the other two chefs but then decided to make it just Tito’s.
Menu
Their menu is divided into 10 sections: Starters, Salad, Taco Corner, Pizza, pasta and sandwiches, El Rancho (Beef), El Puerco (Pork), El Pollo (Chicken), Seafood, Desserts, and Sides.
Top picks are the following:
Starters

It is the wonderful combination of diced pork and egg with creamy garlic and added freshness of lettuce hugged altogether by the flour tortilla. Seal it with bursts of citrus with their salsa.

The combination of nacho cheese, cheddar cheese, and mozzarella cheese with hints of herbs is heaven in your mouth.
Taco corner
Their tacos come in three’s. And we respect Deadpool’s cravings for tacos.

Fresh shrimps are smothered with guacamole, sour cream, butter sauce flavored with onion, parsley, and cilantro with the freshness of lemon.

The crispy shredded pork is combined with potato strings and scrambled egg with honey soy adobo sauce, guacamole, sour cream, onion, tomato, lettuce, and parsley.
Pizza, pasta, and sandwiches

This is a must-try. The crispy tortilla is topped with ground beef combined to cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese with hints of herbs, yum!
El Puerco

Barbeque pork ribs with Tito’s Fil Mex specialty rice.
Seafood

It is a flavorful combination of shrimp, calamari, cream dory, mussel with mojito sauce.
Desserts

The Filipino’s favorite bibingka is partnered with the Mexican native, vanilla-flavored ice cream.

Thank you so much, Ms. Camille and Sir VJ, for your time. This post is also seen on When In Manila https://www.wheninmanila.com/nothing-more-fil-mex-than-sisig-burrito/

I hadn’t heard of the owners or the restaurant. But the food has captured me and if it was in my hometown I would visit it for dinner as they had something for everyone. Including Pizza and Tacos. What more could you want?
